February 15, 2019. Three lawsuits currently challenge the validity of the legislation passed in the November 2018 Extraordinary Session. These extraordinary session laws, also referred to as the “lame-duck legislation,” are being challenged on procedural and substantive grounds for moving authority currently in the executive branch and placing it in the legislative branch.
