Our Intern Program

GLLF provides University of Wisconsin law students with hands-on experience in administrative law, an emerging practice area of vital importance to manufacturers, agriculture, and small businesses.

Our interns provide research and writing support for cases before the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Court of Appeals on administrative and constitutional law issues. In many cases, our interns write the initial drafts of briefs submitted to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Because our briefs are often on issues of first impression, they provide unparalleled experience for interns who want to write about Wisconsin administrative law. Two of our interns have previously been published on our issues by Wisconsin Law Review, one of which was later cited by the Wisconsin Supreme Court. You can view their articles here: Making “Explicit Authority” Explicit: Deciphering Wis. Act 21’s Prescriptions for Agency Rulemaking Authority by Kirsten Koschnick and When Roles Collide: Deference, Due Process, and the Judicial Dilemma by Amy Buchmeyer.

Throughout our history, GLLF interns have played crucial roles in important cases before courts at all levels. After graduating from law school, our interns have become important Wisconsin leaders. Current and past GLLF interns include:
