The Wisconsin Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Wisconsin Property Tax Consultants, Inc. v. Wisconsin Department of Revenue. WMC jointly filed this lawsuit along with Wisconsin Property Tax Consultants as co-plaintiffs. This case challenges an unlawfully promulgated rule that was being enforced by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR). The issue before the Supreme Court is whether this type of challenge may be brought directly in circuit court without first going through the Wisconsin Tax Appeals Commission.
