Jill Karofsky Wins Seat on Wisconsin Supreme Court

election, Wisconsin Supreme Court

On Monday, Judge Jill Karofsky beat incumbent Justice Dan Kelly for a ten-year term on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Despite many calling the victory a “stunning upset,” most political commentators expected the result as the election corresponded with the Democratic primary.

Besides the Supreme Court election, Wisconsin re-elected three incumbent judges to the Court of Appeals: Judge Martin Joseph Donald, Judge Lisa Neubauer, and Judge Rachel Graham.

Joe Biden won the Democratic primary in Wisconsin with 62.9% of the votes.
