Papa v. DHS Oral Arguments On Hold

Kathleen Papa v. DHS, oral arguments, Wisconsin Supreme Court

On March 16, the Wisconsin Supreme Court cancelled oral arguments for Papa v. DHS, originally scheduled for March 18th, citing COVID 19 concerns. Oral argument will be rescheduled at a later date and time.

Papa v. DHS involves a challenge to DHS’s recoupment policies of pre-approved payments made to Medicaid providers. DHS demanded hundreds of thousands of dollars back from Medicaid providers who failed to follow detailed, prescriptive documentation requirements that were never promulgated as a rule or guidance.
