Today marks one year since the Wisconsin Supreme Court officially eliminated all levels of deference to agency interpretation of law. As we celebrate the anniversary, it is worth remembering why the decision made such a difference.
On June 19, the Great Lakes Legal Foundation filed a brief in support of the Wisconsin Legislature’s motion to intervene in Clean Wisconsin, Inc. v. DNR.
On May 13, on behalf of eight associations, the Foundation filed a response to DOJ/DNR’s motion asking to modify the briefing schedule and reverse its positions.
On May 7, 2019, DNR (represented by the Department of Justice) requested to switch sides in in the Hi Cap and Kinnard Farm cases currently before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
